Supported Filters

Fields with string data

Fields with string data support two kinds of filters: list filters and value filters.

Value Filters

In addition to the list filter, Skyvia Query allows using usual value filter for string fields. To configure such filter, click Value in the Details pane, select Filter from the list and specify a value, if necessary, to use in the filter. The following filters are available for fields with string data:

  • equal to
  • not equal to
  • contains
  • does not contain
  • starts with
  • does not start with
  • is null
  • is not null

Please note that you should not quote the string value for the filter.

List Filters

The list filter displays a list of values this field has in the data source, and you can select some of these values. To switch to the list filter, click List in the Details pane.

The list filter can be especially useful when the field can have a limited set of values, and you need to get or exclude records with some of these values. To get such records, select check boxes for the values you want to retrieve records with. To exclude such records, select the corresponding check boxes and click is in list above the list, and then click is not in list.

If there are too many distinct values for this field in the data source (more than 20), only the first 20 of them are displayed followed by the load more link. This link allows you to load the next portion of values.

To select all the values in the list, click the check box above the list.

To quickly find a value in a list, start typing the value in the Type to filter box. The list will display only the values, containing the typed string.

Additionally, you can switch to the single mode, which allows selecting only one value in the list. For this click multi mode and then click single mode.

Fields with Numeric Data

The following filters are available for fields with numeric data:

  • equal to
  • not equal to
  • less than
  • less than or equal to
  • greater than
  • greater than or equal to
  • between
  • not between
  • is null
  • is not null

To configure a filter, select Filter from the list and then specify a value or values, if necessary, to use in the filter.

Boolean Fields

The following filters are available for boolean fields:

  • equal to
  • not equal to
  • is null
  • is not null

To configure a filter, select Filter from the list and then specify a value, if necessary, to use in the filter.

Datetime Fields

Datetime fields support two kinds of filters: relative filters and value filters.

Value Filters

Value filters allow you to configure filtering for datetime fields more precisely. To configure such filter, select Filter from the list, and specify a value or values, if necessary, to use in the filter. The following filters are available for datetime fields:

  • equal to
  • not equal to
  • less than
  • less than or equal to
  • greater than
  • greater than or equal to
  • between
  • not between
  • is null
  • is not null

Relative Filters

Relative filters allow you to quickly get or exclude rows with a datetime value lying within a period, which is relative to the current date. To switch to the relative filters, click Relative in the Details pane.

To get rows with the field value within a period, is in filter is used. It is selected by default. To exclude rows with such values, click is in and select the is not in filter. You also need to specify the required period.

The following periods, relative to the current date are available:

  • Yesterday
  • Today
  • Tomorrow
  • Previous month
  • Current month
  • Next month
  • Previous year
  • Current year
  • Next year

Fields with Binary Data

For fields with binary data only is null and is not null filters are available.
