Supported SQL Functions

Query Builder allows applying expression and aggregation functions to the result fields when Adding Columns to Query. These functions are type-specific, so for certain field types certain functions are available. Supported functions are listed below.

For Fields with String Data:

Aggregation Functions

  • Count — it returns the number of records in a group.

For Fields with Numeric Data:

Aggregation Functions

  • Avg — it returns average value of non-NULL values in a group.
  • Count — it returns the number of records in a group.
  • Max — it returns the maximum value in the group,
  • Min — it returns the minimal value in the group.
  • Sum — it returns the sum of all non-NULL values in a group.

For Boolean Fields

Aggregation Functions

  • Count — it returns the number of records in a group.

For Datetime Fields

Aggregation Functions

  • Count — it returns the number of records in a group.

Expression Functions

  • Day — it returns the day portion of a datetime value.
  • Month — it returns the month and year of a datetime value.
  • Quarter — it returns the quarter and year of a datetime value.
  • Year — it returns the year portion of a datetime value.
  • Day of Month — it returns only the day portion of a datetime value (a day number in a month).
  • Month of Year — it returns only the month portion of a datetime value (a month number in a year).
  • Quarter of Year — it returns only the quarter portion of a datetime value (a quarter number in a year)

For Fields with Binary Data

No functions supported.

For All Columns/All Columns from a Table (* or table_name.* )

Aggregation Functions

  • Count — it returns the number of records in a group.
