SQL Data Warehouse Support
Skyvia continues to extend the list of the supported data sources, particularly, cloud data warehouses. After the recent introduction of support for Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift, we are glad to announce beta support for Azure SQL Data Warehouse service in the new Skyvia version.
Cloud data warehouse services, like Azure SQL Data Warehouse, are fully managed and offer greater performance and scalability, plus support for petabyte-size databases, as well as the ability to quickly analyze huge volumes of data. Azure SQL Data Warehouse provides fast provisioning and release of computational and storage resources. Thus Azure SQL Data Warehouse can reduce database operational costs greatly, because customers only pay for the resources they use. However, initial migration (porting or mirroring) of large volumes of on-premise and/or cloud data to Azure SQL Data Warehouse will likely require significant time and effort.
Skyvia offers users a simple and pain-free way to load data from a cloud application or in-house database to Azure SQL Data Warehouse. Skyvia helps it's users to automate the replication operation, allows visual configuration of the replication operation (with no coding!), and uses the most efficient technique — PolyBase — to move data to Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Skyvia can reduce the time and resources required for porting large volumes of data exponentially!
