Backup Security

Skyvia stores backed up data in secure Azure GRS storage. All your data is stored in an encrypted form, using AES 256-bit encryption, which is one of the strongest ciphers available. Skyvia uses unique encryption keys for each user, and our engineers don’t have access to them. They only have access to your packages metadata.

All the interactions of our UI with API are encrypted with SSL, so you don’t need to worry about security of your data. Since Skyvia is hosted in the Windows Azure cloud, so all the latest security updates are always applied. Microsoft works hard to provide customers the best security and protection for their data, and security is built right into their Azure platform.

Geographically, backed up data are stored in West US data centers.
